- Having the blowpops I took to school for the class exchanged for dum dums (not in IA).
- Paying Andrew to show his teacher he could not read. His telling her that he moved his head like the other
kids because he did not want to look stupid.
- An Alabama teacher telling the other
kids that Andrew was suing her when his parents filed a request for a hearing.
- Learning
about Orton-Gillingham.
- Andrew's stress.
- Having to fight for Andrew's reading program.
- Having to fight for
Andrew's next level reading program.
- Having to fight for Andrew's reading
program to be longer than 15 minutes.
- Andrew learning to read on grade level!!!
- Being very thankful to the Cedar Rapids School District. It was a learning process for us
all.
